This race is also a part of the Mobil Mountain Cup, which can be very important for the final victory. Everybody was looking forward to the big comptetition between Walter Leitgeb and László Szász which went on. Leitgeb couldn't reconcile to his failure in Illirska Bistrica so we could expect a big race.
The two rivals made a fantastic weekend for the spectators. It seemed that nobody else could intervene into the question of victory. After the first run there was only a slight difference between László and Leitgeb. László made 1:16,00 and Leitgeb had 1:16,12. At the second run Leitgeb ran faster, his time was 1:14,00 while László made 1:14,26.
