Rechberg 2003

László Szász hasn't been lucky on this circuit for years. Once he turned round, other time he could hardly come in third. Chance means very little in itself. "This is my umpteenth race here. But it doesn't matter how many times you have run on a circuit. You can't be groovy enough", said László before his second run on Saturday. Not much later the Austrian presenter were presenting the training in excitement as László almost managed to improve the record of the circuit held by Neuhauser with an ex-Formula 1 Minardi car which was 150 HPs stronger than László's.
The next day the team thought it would rain so the mechanics set the car for it. The rain didn't arrive and an Italian driver proved to be the fastest after the first run with an Osella car. Before the second run the settings of the car were changed and this time they were much more favourable, so László Szász won the race.
At this weekend László Szász was absolutely better than the others and he could win on this circuit after 5 years again. The first race of the season couldn't have been better.
