2001 Trier

The Szász Team had to travel 1700 km to get to Trier in Germany. This circuit isn't very popular among the racers, because the road is narrow and after taking a bend badly (which can happen very easily) the driver must put the car into reverse. László had had an accident on this circuit so he isn't keen on it either. Maybe this was one of the reasons for why he had got only the 4th best time after the first training. The best time was done by Franz Tshcager: 1:43,087. Leitgeb achieved 1:56, 702. This circuit is not for formula cars… At the second training László was 7 minutes faster - 1:42,734, but Tschager was still faster. The third training brought Tschager's success again. Szász did 1:47,607 and Leitgeb did 1:49,205.
On Sunday László wasn't very lucky. Before the race it had rained, but it seemed that the sun could dry the road before the start. The first 10 racers could run with tyres for dry road, but just before László's start a heavy rain started again which made his time much worse. So he decided to give up the race which was won by Tschager.
