Buzet

The last round of the Hill European Championship was in Buzet, Croatia
on the 16 th-17 th September. The Hungarian László Szász, and the
Spain Angela Vilarino from the Szász Motorsport started in this race
too.
The team arrived in Buzet on Thursday, so the two pilots had enough
time to learn the track. László Szász started for the second time in this
round, but it was the first occassion for Angela. It was a good, 5
kilometer-long track with two more difficult items _ said László Szász.
They practised a lot, they drove almost 500 kilometres up and down on
the track during two days.
On Saturday the weather was good, and the trainings finished with
good results. Angela and László also corrected their time in second
round. The Sunday race wasn’t so lucky, because it was raining almost
all day. The track was wet, and the pilots had to use wet-tyres. László
Szász finished the first round with  2.54.126 time.
_ The field is strong, and the wet track also influenced my achievement.
Moreover the settings of the car didn’t comply with the rainy weather,
so I had to drove carefully sometimes _ said the pilot after the first
round. Then he had the chance for the third or fourth place with his
result.
An oil mark made difficulties for Angela by the start-line in the first
round. Because of this this her car slided on the track, so she finished
with 3.08.880. In spite of this she was satisfied, and she thought that
she had done her best in that conditions.
László Szász corrected his time in the second round, so his final time
was 2.54.078. It was enough just for the sixth place in his cathergory
and on the absolute list. Angela also corrected in the second round, her
final time was 3.02.171. With this result she is the third in her
cathegory, and she is the 15 th on the absolute list.
László Szász had two more races. Maybe he had more luck in the next
season of the Hill European Championship.
